Amazon.com
Senior Designer
6/2000 - 11/2003

I spent most of my three and a half years at Amazon working in the international department here in Seattle. I was the design lead for the launch of the Amazon Japan and Amazon Canada websites. I helped to launch innumerous features on sites in Japan, Canada, France, Germany, and the UK that were proven winners on our US site. I collaborated on information architecture. I branded the first year of seasonal gift stores. I was part of the team that launched the JP seller marketplace site, single-page checkout, C.O.D., and the Your Account area. Three weeks after launch, COD accounted for 45% of new customers, and had driven a 21% increase in new customers since pre-launch. I participated in the planning/scoping phase for all of the international-Seattle projects.
